Are you into authentic Mexican food? I know that I sure am! Forget going to Taco Bell where everything is insanely Americanized and make this yummy chile Verde sauce in your slow cooker. You can use this sauce for many different recipes like chicken enchiladas, tacos, and chimichangas. I also enjoy dipping tortilla chips in it as a fun snack or appetizer before a big Mexican-themed dinner.
My husband and kids really like this recipe, too. If you enjoy regular salsa you will really enjoy this chile Verde. Plus, it is insanely easy to make. I love how all you have to do is toss it all into the Crock Pot and walk away.
Just don’t forget to turn the slow cooker on haha! I actually did that one time as embarrassing as it sounds. I was making regular chili and I put everything into the slow cooker, put the lid on, and walked away. A few hours later I came to check on the chili and much to my dismay it was ice cold. Needless to say, we didn’t have chili for dinner that night.
