Ever since my husband and I visited the Greek islands, we have been crazy about Greek food. My gosh, the flavors are incredible! I’m not exactly sure what it is they do over there that makes every single dish taste so amazing. What I do know is that I would be happy to live in Greece for the rest of my life, over-eating souvlaki, gyros and heaps of feta cheese.
But for as long as I can’t move there, I will do my darndest to at least learn how to cook like the Greek. Once a week I cook a traditional Greek dish and I must say it’s the second best thing if you can’t travel to your favorite destination!
Funny, but I don’t think I had chicken even once during our trip. I was too busy trying all those special meals we never have at home – silly me, I also thought chicken is chicken everywhere so I just skipped it whenever it was on the menu.
Last week I came across this wonderful meal over at AllRecipes and it looked so delicious (not to mention super easy!) that I decided to give it a try. Can I just say – WOW!!
