My sister had just had her first baby, and she was having pretty rough time at the hospital. She had to stay a lot longer than what she wanted to or expected to, and I wanted to give her and her husband a warm welcome home. I knew that they were going to be super tired, because we all know that you can’t sleep very well in a hospital bed. I went to her house and made sure that everything was cleaned up and ready for their arrival home. The only thing the didn’t have was food ready to go.
I got to work in the kitchen and made all kinds of different prepare-ahead type meals including lasagna, pasta dishes, salads, and this French toast casserole that I had seen on All Recipes. I cleaned up the kitchen and went to see them at the hospital.
Much to my surprise they had already been discharged, so we must have crossed paths on the way. I let them go home and get some rest and waited for her to get a hold of me when she was ready for visitors.
