At the end of each week I like to take the leftovers that I have and try to make a dinner out of them. I am one of those people that truly hate to waste any sort of food. That is something that I picked up from my mother. She never threw away anything. She always managed to make some sort of dinner out of the food in the fridge. She was very handy like that!
So, I was looking in the my fridge and figuring out what I could make. I had a little bit of this and that from some of the dinners I had made earlier in the week. I had some vegetables that I needed to use or toss out in a day or two. I looked in the pantry and saw that I had alfredo sauce. I knew knew what I was going to make instantly once I saw that sauce too.
I always have a need to get rid of pasta too! So, I figured that I would make an alfredo casserole.I had chicken, sausage, broccoli, alfredo sauce and knew that I could cook up something wonderful. Not mention I had tons of cheese that I needed to use up as well too.
When I made this casserole it turned out so well that I vowed to make it again when I needed to clean out the fridge!
