Are Old-Fashioned, Amish-Inspired Chicken & Noodles Going To Be On Your Table?

Grandma always made us a lot of old school meals back when we would visit her so many years ago. She grew up on simple homemade dishes. They weren’t fancy, but they were oh so tasty. She was used to having to feed a large group of people, having seven kids of her own, and she had to do it on a budget. One of those dishes was a chicken and noodle combo that she would dump over top of fresh whipped mashed potatoes. Holy smokes… it was like heaven in a bowl.

I found a very similar recipe to hers on NeighborFood and I made it for my family at home. It was just as tasty as what I remembered Grandma making, and it made a huge pot. It was so affordable too, I can see why she made it all the time with seven kids.

My little ones weren’t too sure about it at first, but after they tried it, they couldn’t stop eating it. Our whole family really enjoyed this yummy traditional food, and I’m sure it will end up on my table time and time again.
