Gooey Peanut Butter Crumb Bars

My grandson is one of the pickiest little boys I have ever met in my life. Now, I love him more than the moon in the sky, but getting that child to eat when he is at my house can be quite the feat. To make things easy on everyone, I usually just give him what he wants. After all, I’m the Grandma so that’s what I’m supposed to do right? I love it. Load him up with sweets and sugars and then send him home to his parents. My daughter always just smiles and shakes her head at me.

What? Haha! Sorry sweetie. I love to make him desserts when I know he is going to be coming over. I have learned through experiment though that he doesn’t like cakes or cupcakes. Strange to me, but that’s just him. He loves bar treats though, and cookies. Those are his two favorite things.

This bar treat from A Latte Food is my most favorite thing to make for him. The flavor is enjoyable for both of us. I love sitting at the table listening to his elementary school stories and having a nice treat together. He actually sits still for a minute while he’s eating these!

Quick Tip: Try with a melted caramel drizzle instead of chocolate… or do both!
