Melt Away Those Cold Nights With A Piping Hot Bowl Of Chicken Tortilla Soup

I worked at a soup and sandwich restaurant right out of high school. It wasn’t the most glorious job in the world, but it was fun, and it helped put a little spending money in my pocket over the summer. We had some pretty interesting soups and sandwiches that went through that place. Some I had tried before, others I had never even heard of, much less tried. One that stuck out to me right away was a chicken tortilla soup. Now, my bosses made everything in that place by hand. I think that’s why they did so incredibly well.

That’s how I learned how to make the soup, just like this one from BigOven. Eventually, they entrusted me with some of the jobs that they usually did. They wanted to be sure that someone else could do the work in the off chance that they couldn’t make it in. This was by far my favorite soup.

It was a huge hit among the customers too. Whenever we had it, we sold out. Now, I make it at home for my family when I am getting a craving. My husband loves it as much as I do. My kids are getting used to it. When they develop those adult taste buds, they’re going to love it too… I just know it.
