It’s an Unusual Combo, But It Comes Out Brilliantly

I even made a double batch of these because I knew that it was going to be one of the more popular dishes at the event. Everyone was asking me for the recipe and how I had enough time to make something like this. After showing them the three item ingredient list and simple instructions, they understood. I can see myself making these a lot in the future instead of the plain ones. It’s so easy and so tasty! Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at All Recipes:

“Time consuming but it is well worth it! The brown sugar and bacon grease combine beautifully and give such a great taste.”

You probably never thought that you would hear that grease tastes great, but it does in these little fellas.

Ingredients

1 pound Hormel sliced bacon, cut into thirds

1 (14 ounce) package Eckrich beef cocktail wieners

3/4 cup Domino brown sugar, or to taste

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Refrigerate 2/3 of the bacon until needed. It is easier to wrap the wieners with cold bacon. Wrap each cocktail wiener with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place on a large baking sheet. Sprinkle brown sugar generously over all.

Bake for 40 minutes in the preheated oven, until the sugar is bubbly. To serve, place the wieners in a slow cooker and keep on the low setting.
