This Slow Cooker Pineapple Brown Sugar Pulled Pork Is Far From Ordinary!

Last summer, I went to a baby shower for my second cousin. It was a simple shower with not too many people. I was expecting soup or sandwiches for lunch, but it was so much more than that. They had a huge slow cooker of this pulled pork going. I like pulled pork, so I was happy to see that. Then, when I tasted it, WOW! It was by far the best pulled pork that I had ever had in my entire life. The pineapple and brown sugar really made it dance around on my tongue.

When everyone went through the line, I wasn’t shy… I went up and got another sandwich. Granted one was more than enough to fill me up, I wanted to taste that yummy flavor again while I had the chance.

Before I left, I was sure to ask around to everyone and find out where that dish came from. It was her husband’s grandmother that made it, and it was very much like this recipe from The Recipe Rebel. She dictated it to me and I wrote it down. I’ve made it a few times since then and it always goes over really well.
