This Four-Ingredient Casserole Is Common Place At My Table

I figured that this casserole would be okay, but it was actually really creamy and extremely satisfying. Even my very picky husband gave his nod of approval. He likes chicken and rice though so it wasn’t really a shock that he was going to enjoy this. The kids are still warming up to the whole rice thing, but after a few times of making this, I’m sure they will get used to it. Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Spend With Pennies:

Ingredients

4 chicken breasts

1 cup Uncle Ben’s long grain white rice, uncooked

1 package Lipton onion soup mix (or use homemade)

1 can (10 oz) Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup

 

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Spray 9×13 pan with cooking spray. Add chicken breasts and season with salt & pepper.

Pour uncooked rice over chicken. Sprinkle with onion soup mix.

Combine mushrooms soup and 1½ cups of water. Pour over chicken.

Cover and bake 1 hour 15 minutes or until rice is tender.

Quick Tip: Cream of chicken soup can also be used.
