Jello Salad Is Just What The Doctor Ordered

My aunt was famous for always showing up to people’s houses with dessert. Even if you asked her over to babysit, she would bring a yummy dessert with her. My mom would frequently ask her over to take care of us kids while she had to work. Aunt Minnie didn’t have any kids, and she stayed home while her husband worked, so she was usually pretty available and open to the idea. Then, she brought dessert to boot! One of my favorites that she made were her Jello salads.

She could make one in just about any flavor you could think of. The one I loved the most was one that she made with Coca Cola. So, when I found this recipe for Dr. Pepper Jello salad on Spend with Pennies, I was overjoyed.

Dr. Pepper is already my favorite soda, so I knew this was going to be amazing. And, of course, I was right. My kids and I ate the whole thing before my husband even got home from work.

We actually had to make another one and pretend like it was the first! That’s okay though, that meant we all got seconds…. shhhh!
