If You Can Stand The Heat, Try This Spicy Sausage Pasta!

I have also successfully entertained with this sausage pasta dish. It feeds about six people as is, so I double the recipe. After it’s done, I just toss it in a slow cooker. You know how dinner parties go. Nobody is ever ready to eat at the same time. This allows everyone to munch when they are ready. It stays good like that for hours. Check out what they are saying about this recipe over at Group Recipes:

“I make this all the time for my family.”

We can’t get enough of this stuff at our house!

Ingredients

5 cloves of Garlic, minced (I love garlic, adjust accordingly)

3 jalapenos, chopped (I left the seeds in)shopping list

1 Onion, diced

A few springs of scallions, sliced

1 Ib Johnsonville Sausage, chopped

2-3 cups of Swanson chicken broth, unsalted

8 oz of Penne pasta

10 oz can of Del Monte diced tomatoes (I like Italian seasoned)

1/2 cup of heavy cream

1 1/2 cup of Habenero cheese

A heaping teaspoon of chili flakes, generous crack of black pepper and salt, and any other seasoning you enjoy such as dried basil.

Instructions

On medium heat, add onion, garlic, sausage, and jalapenos with some olive oil in a large skillet.

After 5 or 6 minutes add your broth, tomatoes and seasoning. Once it starts to bubble, add in your pasta and cover skillet while it cooks.

Once pasta is cooked and broth has simmered down add in your heavy cream and stir your cheese. Garnish with scallions. Enjoy!

Quick Tip: You can de-seed the jalapenos for less heat.
