March To The Beat Of These Honey Soy Sauce Chicken Drumsticks

My husband loves eating this chicken recipe with white rice. He says it tastes like those stir-fry recipes from Chinese restaurants, which makes it perfect with rice. My sons simple love devouring them on their own. They can finish a chicken leg each and even finish the vegetables that I serve along with the chicken. This recipe is a kid-friendly, adult-friendly recipe that you can serve to anyone anytime. You will not have to worry about people not liking it- they will, believe me.

Check out what our friends from Snixy Kitchen have to say about this recipe:

“These drumsticks looked and tasted like they were tossed on the grill, but required way less hassle. When you’re feeling exhausted, this dish gives you the feeling of something that took time and forethought without all the work. Each bite is super moist and so addicting that you won’t be able to keep yourself from licking the sweet and savory glaze off your fingertips.”

This chicken recipe is really all about the glaze, which you will immediately fall in love with. They coat the chicken, making it more special and more flavorful. What are you waiting for- go ahead and make this for dinner so you can bring an extra pizzazz to your table.

Ingredients

  • 6 Tyson chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons Trader Joe’s honey
  • 3 tablespoons Great Value soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced (about 1-2 cloves)
  • ½ tablespoon ginger, minced
  • ½ teaspoon McCormick sesame seeds

Instructions

  1.  Combine the honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger in a Ziploc bag. Add the chicken and seal, removing as much air as possible. Refrigerate to marinate for an hour.
  2. Preheat oven to 425ºF
  3. Lay chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 25-35 minutes, or until a thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 160ºF. Every 10 minutes, brush some of the remaining glaze on the drumsticks.
  4. Turn on the broiler and boil the chicken for 3-5 minutes, until crispy. Top with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and serve.
