Is Life Too Hot To Handle? Chill Out With This Beanless Beef Chili Recipe

I have a love-hate relationship with beans. To be honest, there was a phase in my life when I didn’t like them. I have to admit that I hated the powdery-cottony texture on my tongue whenever I chewed beans. It’s a different feeling in the mouth, which I hated. But I always change my mind whenever I encounter a dish I like that involves beans. During those times, I can confidently say that I love beans. My husband finds it amusing, but he understands how my minds works all the time.

Even though I wasn’t a fan at first, chili has grown on me. In fact, it’s now one of my most favorite home-cooked meals. It’s satisfying and fulfilling because of the flavors involved in one serving of chili.

Beans taste best with chili- you have to admit that. It’s slightly sweet taste and even its texture goes so well with the strong flavors in a chili recipe. Chili is one of the recipes that makes me love beans.

This beef chili version by Sandra Lee from the Food Network leaves out beans for this recipe. I really felt that it’s weird at first; I was even reluctant to try. But when I finally made it for my curious husband, I am glad I did.
