It’s A Jumbo Mass of Flavors In This Chicken Gumbo Recipe

When my husband and I were still kidless and just starting as a married couple, he used to bring me to this restaurant where we used to eat the most flavorful seafood gumbo. We’re both fans of seafood, and we will eat anything that you serve to us as long as it’s seafood. My husband once said that we will probably enjoy eating seafood for the rest of our lives without any care or worry. I will agree with him simply because I know how seafood hungry we both are.

As much as I am not a fan of overly spicy food, I fell in love with my husband’s favorite gumbo. It’s super spicy- one sip of the broth and your tongue will burn. However, the spicy kick just adds to the already flavorful culinary perfection.

My husband always cooks gumbo at home, his version. He put together several recipes, adjusted a few of the ingredients, and made it to his own. Sometimes he makes his Mom’s version and he can’t hear any complaints from me.

This recipe that I am about to share with you makes use of andouille. However, you can substitute it with anything you like shrimps. A full copy of this savory recipe is made available on the next page.
