You Can’t Escape “Peanut Overload” In This Pound Cake Recipe

I craved for nuts badly a few nights ago that I was even whining about it. We ran out of nuts and it was too late to go to the grocery store. I didn’t even know what type of nut I was craving for- I just wanted nuts. My husband, who’s probably tired of my whining, finally brought out his package of almonds. I didn’t even know he had one. He said he kept it on his bag because he always gets hungry on the road. But I could have it just so I could satiate my cravings. Thank you, hubby!

The next day, I went to the grocery to buy me some nuts. I also brought peanut butter just because I thought of making a cake for my family. Peanut butter cake sounded good for the weekend.

I found this peanut butter cake recipe a few weeks ago, but I didn’t have the chance to try it. So that weekend, I made it for my family. It was a simple pound cake with the most amazing glaze.

The cake filled the house with that amazing nutty smell that wouldn’t go away for hours. The taste of the cake justified the amazing smell- it was creamy and moist and oh so great! We didn’t want to leave the kitchen for a while.
