The Apple Cinnamon Bread Whispers, “Come On And Have A Slice!”

This apple cinnamon bread is perfect for breakfast. It doesn’t need anything to go with it actually, but my husband and I love spreading butter on the slices. Sometimes we also use cream cheese; and it just tastes so divine. Our sons just love eating this alone. The two of them usually have a slice each for breakfast. Sometimes we eat this bread for dessert too because it tastes sweet enough to cap off every meal. The refreshing taste will be enough to wash away the taste of the rich meal. This bread goes so well with either coffee or tea.

See what our friends from Pixelated Crumb have to say about this recipe:

“I was frankly shocked at how quickly we devoured this loaf of apple cinnamon bread. It’s one of those quick breads that you make for breakfast and then decide to have some for dessert. After every meal.”

It’s really easy to make than most breads so you will not have a hard time whipping it up. If you want a bread that you can make easily, this is the perfect recipe for you. Enjoy!

Ingredients

For the bread:

1 1/2 cups Gold Medal all purpose flour

1 teaspoon Clabber Girl baking soda

1/2 teaspoon Morton salt

2 teaspoons McCormick cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon McCormick all spice

1/4 teaspoon McCormick ground cloves

2 large Eggland’s eggs

1/4 cup Wesson canola oil

1/4 cup Great Value applesauce

1 teaspoon McCormick vanilla

1/2 cup Domino granulated sugar

1/2 cup Domino brown sugar

2 cups chopped, peeled apples

For the topping:

2 tablespoons Domino brown sugar

1 tablespoon Domino granulated sugar

1 teaspoon McCormick cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, all spice, and cloves. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat eggs briskly for about 30 seconds. Add in oil, applesauce, and vanilla and mix until smooth. Next, add the granulated sugar and brown sugar and mix until well combined.
  4. Slowly add in the flour mixture and mix until the flour is barely combined (some small streaks of flour are fine). Gently fold in the apple chunks. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the topping ingredients (2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon cinnamon). Sprinkle over the batter in the loaf pan. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until loaf is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool bread in pan for 10 minutes. Loosen sides and remove from pan. Cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
