The Banana Made A Promise To The Oat- “I’ll Be In The Cookies With You”

There are times when I am on my health mode. What I mean by this is, I usually think of the healthiest food to serve to my family. There are really those days when everything we eat for a day is healthy. It’s just something that a mother feels sometimes, I think. The days will catch up to us and we’ll just ask ourselves whether we served really good and beneficial food t our family. Happiness and health go hand-in-hand together, so I make sure my family receives the best of both worlds.

Desserts are probably the biggest challenge when it came to eating healthy. Because no matter how much a recipe says that it’s healthy, a dessert always has at least one ingredient that makes it unhealthy. One example of this is sugar.

In everything we do, the key is really balance. That totally applies to desserts and other food too. So if you want a healthy and at the same time tasty dessert, you have to find a compromise.

I found a really good recipe that balances both- these banana oat cookies. It has the oats, which we all know are rich in fiber and other nutrients. And there’s banana, the number one source of potassium.

But even if this cookie recipe is healthy, it still tastes divine! So even my sons fell in love with these regardless of oat’s infamous texture in the mouth!
