Keep An Eye On The Best Kept Secret Of This Banoffee Pie!

This banoffee pie lasagna recipe became an instant favorite among my other friends too. They keep raving about their own versions of this recipe. But really, this is a popular dessert choice most especially if you are serving a large crowd of relatives or friends. You don’t need to hassle yourself too much or even worry about not having enough because this can serve a fairly large crowd of people. But, if you can, just make sure there is an extra dish because this is too good for just one slice!

See what our friends over at Delish have to say about this recipe:

“This twist on the classic English dessert features layers upon layers of caramel-banana flavor.”

Oh yes, this dessert recipe is too sinful. Caramel lovers will surely love this! I tried this once with a the chocolate hot fudge sauce and it still tastes heavenly!

This dessert recipe is pretty versatile actually. You can personalize it based on your family’s taste. So enjoy making this for you and your family!

Ingredients

  • 2 pt. Borden heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp. Domino sugar
  • 1 package Keebler graham crackers
  • 3 bananas, sliced (leave one unsliced until you’re ready to serve)
  • 2 jars Nestle dulce de leche (13.4 ounces)
  • 1 Hershey’s chocolate bar, shaved

Instructions

  1. Beat heavy cream and sugar using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form, about 2-3 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Line the bottom of a 3-quart baking dish with graham crackers. Top with a layer of whipped cream (use about half of the whipped cream mixture), then a layer of sliced bananas and a layer of dulce de leche. Top with another layer of graham crackers and the remaining whipped cream and chill in fridge for at least 4 hours.
  3. Once the lasagna has chilled, take it out and top with freshly sliced bananas, chocolate shavings, crumbled graham crackers, and a drizzle of dulce de leche. Serve.
