Easy Fruit Crisp For One Refreshing Day!

This easy fruit crisp recipe makes use of the frozen fruits you have at home. Anything will work actually. This is a pretty flexible dish that will not be ruined just because you used raspberry instead of blueberry, for example. You can adjust the ingredients based on what’s available at home or based on your preferences. If you don’t like raspberry or let’s say strawberry, then don’t include them. It’s easy as that!

See what our friends from Sweet And Savory By Shinee have to say about the recipe:

“Fruits are not boring though. You can make so many thing with them. And this fruit crisp is just one of the deliciousness you can make. It’s absolutely perfect for summer gatherings or weekend brunch.”

This fruit crisp recipe really tastes best during summers, what with all of those fruits at their peak. But I make this even if it’s not the season for it. My cravings are too pushy for me to ignore.

I am sure your family will love this recipe too. Enjoy!

Ingredients

For filling:

  • 4 cups Driscoll’s mixed berries, fresh or frozen
  • ¼ cup (50gr) Domino sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Gold Medal all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Argo cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon Morton salt

For topping:

  • 1 cup old-fashioned Bob’s Red Mill rolled oats
  • ½ cup packed Domino brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup Land O Lakes unsalted butter, cold
  • ½ cup Gold Medal all purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon Morton salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. To prepare the filling, whisk together sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt in small bowl.
  3. Place the fruits in 9-inch baking dish.
  4. Add sugar mixture over fruits and mix everything.
  5. To prepare the topping, combine topping ingredients in a medium bowl, and thoroughly mix everything together until the butter is cut into the dry ingredients creating somewhat lumpy mixture. I used my hands, but you can use pastry cutter if you want.
  6. Spread the topping evenly over the fruits.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is nice and golden.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature with a vanilla ice cream, if desired.
