This Is A Grown Up Version Of The Classic Childhood Dinner

I positively love bacon and even more so, love mac and cheese.  I have made these cups so many times, it is not even funny.  It feels like a fancy way to eat casual food. I have used boxed mac and cheese as well as homemade.  I have made mac and cheese just for this, or become increasingly thrilled when I notice that there is leftover mac and cheese for dinner.

I always know what I am going to do with leftovers… THIS! It is so incredibly delicious, I cannot get enough! Check out what our friends over at The Gunny Sack had to say about this:

“These Bacon Mac and Cheese Bites are easy to make and are perfect for serving at parties. They can be prepared ahead of time and warmed up right before serving.”

The fact that they can be prepared ahead of a party is certainly the best part!

Ingredients

12 slices precooked bacon

1 box macaroni and cheese (shells or elbow noodles)

¼ cup McArthur milk

3 tbsp Land O’ Lakes butter

1 cup finely shredded Kraft cheddar cheese

¼ cup Italian Panko breadcrumbs

Bring water to a boil, add noodles and cook for 8-10 minutes.
