Auntie’s Vanilla Ricotta Pound Cake Deserves The Spotlight!

I was on the phone with Aunt Lily just recently. It has been so long since I got to hear her lovely, warm voice. Talking to Aunt Lily felt like running a hot knife on butter. It always melts my heart. She’s probably the closest Aunt to me because we have the same quirks. Other than that, she loves my husband so much and that’s a really good thing!

Whenever we’re on the phone, Aunt Lily always talked to me about my cousins and how they used to be. It always feels good to talk about the past with someone who spent it with you. We also talk about our current lives. I learned that she actually went on a vacation in Europe with my uncle and I didn’t even know! Lucky. I always wanted to go to Europe. I should probably be telling my husband this. Maybe next year we can make it a goal of ours.

We also talk about food. Aunt Lily always teaches me new recipes, which I can cook for my family. She is in constant experimentation in the kitchen so she shares them with me. The last recipe she told me about was this vanilla pound cake recipe. I made this for my family and served it to them one weekend afternoon. My husband insisted to call Aunt Lily just to thank her! It was clearly a hit with the family! Get a full copy of the recipe on the next page so you can make it for your own family! They will love this, believe me!
