Who Will Ever Forget Grandma’s Version Of Salisbury Steak?

One of Grandma’s recipe that I will never forget is her Salisbury steak. I think that’s a recipe that is a staple in most households. It’s a classic, which is why it never grows old. I remember Grandma serving her Salisbury steak with the creamiest garlic mashed potatoes. Usually, I am a fan of classic mashed potatoes, but her garlic version with all the spices on it just tasted great with her savory Salisbury steak. Her version was a little spicy too because my Grandpa wanted everything spicy. She always compromised by making the Salisbury steak less spicy but more flavorful. The flavor always compensated for the lack of hotness. Grandpa never complained. But I wasn’t sure if it’s because the compromise was okay with him or if it’s because he was a little scared of Grandma. Grandma could be scary when she wanted to.

This Salisbury steak from All Recipes differs from my grandmother’s in one way. It’s cooked in a crockpot which makes any mother’s life easier! Imagine just dumping all the ingredients in a pot and letting it cook by itself. You will have all the time in the world to cook a dessert that will accompany your savory supper.
