What’s A Hamburger Without A Bun, You Ask? Well, A Casserole, Of Course!

My husband and I love to make this even when we are tailgating at a game.  It is just such a practical way to eat the typical food you would grill, without the mess and craziness of getting everything done and ready.  Whether you are planning to take this to a tailgate or a potluck, or plan to enjoy this home alone, I have a funny feeling that you all will absolutely love this.  I mean, who does not love an easy way to make burgers? If anything, at least your kids will definitely love this!
Check out what our friends over at Eating on a Dime had to say about this:

“I’m excited today to show you how to make hamburger casserole. My kids devoured this easy dinner idea. It is probably the best beef casserole we have made.”

Oh, this is definitely the very best beef casserole I have ever made! My kids positively loved this and ask for it often!

Ingredients

5 small potatoes

2 lbs of ground beef, browned

2 cans of Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup

1 1/2 cups of McArthur milk

1 1/2 cups of Kraft shredded cheese (we used a colby jack mix, but cheddar would be great too)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Brown your ground beef and set aside

Peel and slice potatoes and set aside. We use this easy mandoline slicer to cut our potatoes quickly.

In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Set aside.

Spray a 9×13 baking dish with non stick spray.

Layer in the pan, potatoes, beef, soup, and cheese. Then repeat. Top with remaining cheese.

Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour

Remover foil and bake another 30 minutes until potatoes are fork tender.

Allow it to sit for 10 minutes, then cut and serve.

Quick Tip: Be sure to allow this to sit for a few minutes before cutting, or it will be impossible to serve
