Creamy Mexican Stroganoff Makes A Romantic Dinner

Most of my married friends’ problems lately were the lack of personal time between them and their spouses. I often hear them complain, most especially my women friends, that they sometimes miss the days when they were just boyfriend-girlfriend. They had more time for each other during those days; so unlike now that they’re married.

Their woes always go a bit louder days before Valentine’s Day. Due to some unforseen twists of fates, their husbands always have work during Heart’s Day and it makes them all sad and whiny. One of my friends, Gina, has a bit of a luck last Valentine’s. Or at least half of a luck.

Her husband had a free day on Valentine’s, but since he was still a bit tired from work, Gina agreed to have dinner at home. Last Valentine’s she was missing from the usual group of housewives whose dates were each other. We were so happy for her until we found out that she didn’t actually have a proper dinner with her hubby.

Just as they were enjoying her husband’s favorite Mexican stroganoff, he received a call asking him to go over some papers immediately for a client abroad. The Mexican stroganoff stayed half-eaten until the morning. But her husband did date her properly a week after. A Post-Valentine Date, which still made her happy.
