Three Basic Ingredients, One Great Dinner

I love making home cooked meals for my family.  Call me old fashioned, but every time I have the opportunity, I skip the rotisserie chicken or KFC family meal drive thru, and instead go home and make a meal my family will love.  Sure, there are times it is just not feasible or practical, but when I can, I make it happen.

Now, with that being said, many times my so called home cooked meals are just a few ingredients dumped in a crock pot.  When I come home from work it is already done.  But every now and then I like to switch it up.

I love casseroles, but so often, they are filled with tons of steps and ingredients that take up time that I do not always have.  To save me time, I tend to find the recipes that require few ingredients and that can all be made in one dish so I do not have to follow too many steps.  Sometimes it is hard, but it is worth it, because the dinners are easy and delicious.

Other times, I take basic elements like meat and veggies and just cook them all in one pan.  It works!
