The BEST Breakfast Bread We’ve Ever Tasted

My husband isn’t too fond of sweet breads. He prefers cakes or muffins, so he wasn’t too excited when I told him about this new breakfast I was going to make.

You should have seen the look on his face when he had the first bite. He ate three slices and told me I could make this bread any time! You can use store bought or homemade apple butter for this. If you’re afraid it might turn out too sweet for your taste, just cut down the amount of brown sugar. And if it’s not sweet enough, after all, you can drizzle it with sugar glace or even serve it with your favorite cream cheese frosting! I’m pretty sure you won’t have any leftovers for the next day!

Ingredients

3cup apple butter

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1teaspoon clove

1cup water

1cup canola oil

1 1cups Domino brown sugar

2 large Eggland’s eggs

1 3cups Gold Medal flour, sifted

1 teaspoon Clabber Girl baking soda

3teaspoon salt

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9″ loaf pan or spray it with cooking spray.

Mix together the apple butter, cinnamon and cloves. Add the water, whisking, then oil, brown sugar, then the eggs one at a time. Mix until smooth.

In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Combine with the apple butter mixture and mix until smooth. Don’t skip the sifting part or you may have white lumps in your dark bread!

Pour the batter into the loaf pan.

Bake for 65-70 minutes. Let stand for 10-15 minutes to cool slightly before removing from the pans. Let cool completely before slicing.
