A Delicious Twist On Southern Biscuits

I love a good sandwich.  Growing up, we never had a big family dinner.  For health reasons, we had to enjoy our larger meals at lunch time so we always had our family meals then.  My dad did not always join us because of work, but whenever he could, he would stop by the house and have lunch with us.  It was definitely a treat we all looked forward to.  However, come dinnertime, when we were always together, we had something light.

That something light was usually some chicken nuggets, mac and cheese or sandwiches.  My personal favorite has always been having a sandwich for lunch.  They are easy to make, and there are so many different variations to make.  One thing I always loved was making the same type of sandwich (turkey and cheese or ham and cheese with a light spread of mayo) and trying it on different types of breads.  I tried Cuban bread, baguettes, toast, and so many others until one day I realized I had never tried it in a biscuit.  So I went to the supermarket, picked up a pack of Pillsbury biscuits and made myself a sandwich on them.  These were nothing short of amazing!
