Ready For Teatime?

The first time I tried a chocolate chip scone, I was at Panera Bread with my sister. We had both been invited to be bridesmaids and spent the day dress shopping with the bride. We looked at wedding gowns and tried them on along with her and then we searched for bridesmaid’s dresses. We never finalized anything because the bride could not make up her mind on the color.

After a long outing of getting nowhere because the bride was so indecisive, my sister and I knew we needed a little sweet treat as a pick me up. We did not want anything too big because we did have a wedding coming up and wanted to look good, so we decided to head to Panera Bread. They have sweet treats that are not too big (at least some of them are not) and yet totally delicious. We decided to go with a chocolate chip scone and I got a small coffee while my sister got a small tea. We prepared both our coffee and tea to our liking and sat in a corner booth where we split that chocolate chip scone. It was positively delicious… so delicious we bought a second…
