These Tropical Mixed Nuts Mean Business

I call them “munchers”. I have a jar on my kitchen counter and it’s full of mixed dried fruits and nuts. Whenever I need to snack on something that’s not unhealthy, I just grab a small paper cup and fill it with the mixture. I love snacking on nuts because doing so keeps me awake and alert. It’s also a bit healthier than snacking on potato chips, which I also tend to do a lot if my jar of munchers is empty. Keeping this type of snack jar is handy and not as messy as keeping an open bag of chips and leaving it rolled over and stacked somewhere.

I learned this one from a friend. I saw it on her kitchen counter when I visited her to help her bake a large batch of cookies. She offered it to me as a snack while we wait for the cookies from the oven. She keeps these tiny paper cones beside the jar, which she uses to hold her version of munchers. Well, she has a different version of munchers. While mine has nuts and dired fruits, her jar contains a lot of different sugar and chocolate treats—mini chocolate chips, sugar cereals, nuts, marshmallows, and coco crunch. She works from home and has irregular hours so she needs sugar to boost her mood. Well that’s a surefire energy and mood booster!
