Take Your Taste Buds On a Trip To Germany With This Yummy Stollen Christmas Bread

There is this amazing German restaurant in Frankenmuth, Michigan called “The Bavarian Inn.” The entire place is German-themed. In fact, the entire city is German themed and dubbed as “Little Bavaria” throughout the world.

When my family and I still lived in Michigan we were only 45 minutes from this very special place. My husband would take me to the Bavarian Inn every year on my birthday. Boy, do I miss going there!

Anyway, the restaurant gave you all kinds of good stuff toe at while you were waiting for your main course. One of hose goodies was stollen bread. This bread is amazing!

It’s got dried fruits and nuts in the middle and tastes great with homemade preserves or apple butter. I love how Christmasy the bread is and I plan to make a few loaves for the holiday season to serve to my family and friends. You’ll be surprised at how easy stollen bread is to make and doesn’t require much handiwork at all.

This recipe is easy to double so why not make two loaves and give one away to a friend 🙂
