Aren’t These Caramel Cookies Adorable?

Check out what my friends at Betty Crocker had to say about these salted caramel apple cookies:

So easy and so good! Who doesn’t love the taste of caramel and apples together?

I grew up loving caramel apples so I knew I’d love these cookies. I also knew my daughter’s soccer team would go crazy over them. That’s why I whipped them up for an after practice snack. They were more than grateful that they got to have some. I put them in little baggies with a ribbon around the top because that’s what all the cool soccer moms do!

Ingredients

125 ml Land O Lakes butter (1/2 cup)

1 cup applesauce

5 ml caramel essence (1 teaspoon)

125 ml brown Domino sugar (1/2 cup)

15 ml golden syrup (1 tablespoon)

300 ml self-raising flour (11/4 cup)

Directions

Mix the butter, essence, sugar and syrup until fluffy.

Mix the flour in.

Mix well.

Take a cookie press and press out any for on a greased baking tin.

If you don’t have a cookie press, roll small balls and press on top with a fork.

Bake at 180 deg C (360 deg F) for 10 – 15 minutes until golden brown.
