Chocolate, Whipped Cream, Chocolate Chips And Brownies Layered In a Tall Trifle Dish Make For a Beautiful and Easy Dessert

I remember when I was younger wanting to desperately make chocolate mousse.  I just could not get the hang of it.  It was a difficult and lengthy process that annoyed me. However, somewhere along the way, I discovered the delicious combination of whipped cream and chocolate pudding and how once it’s in your mouth, it’s just like chocolate mousse.  My 12-year-old self was quite satisfied with these findings.

Anyway, years have passed and I’ve given this little recipe a twist. I have added chocolate brownie chunks to it to give it some dense texture as well as chocolate chips for an extra crunch.  These additions have made this recipe so much better and truthfully, the best it has ever been.

This is an easy to make recipe and one that I am asked to bring to parties over and over again. It’s also one my husband adores and I tend to make in a single serving portion quite often for him.

Quick Tip: Make the pudding ahead of time so it is already thick by the time it’s necessary to pour into the trifle bowl.
