A recipe for a fall themed apple caramel French toast

Caramel apple French toast is what you will spoil your kids with and they will never want to go back to regular old French toast again.  Even your husband will get cranky if you make the regular one. 😉 Check out what our friends over at Lemon Tree Dwelling had to say about this recipe,

“I love the fact that it can be made the night before, so it’s ready first thing in the morning. I love the fact that, even after you bake it, it can be re-heated and taste just as amazing! I love the fact that it’s enough to feed a crowd….or my kids for the whole week. And, of course, I’m completely in love with the flavors.”

Ingredients

10 cups crusty French bread, cut into 1 inch cubes

2 heaping cups Honeycrisp peeled apples, cut into ½ inch cubes

8 eggs

2 cups Silk Caramel Almond Creamer

2 tsp. McCormick apple pie spice

Smucker’s Caramel topping

2 Tbsp. chopped peanuts (optional)

Instructions

*If desired, dry bread cubes on a baking sheet at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes. This will yield a crisper casserole.

Place bread cubes in a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.

Top with Honeycrisp apples.

In a separate bowl, combine eggs, Silk creamer, and McCormick apple pie spice. Whisk until smooth.

Pour egg mixture over bread & apples.

Bake at 350 degrees 45-60 minutes, until eggs are set.

Remove from oven and drizzle with Smucker’s caramel topping and chopped peanuts before serving.
