I am all about easy meals so whenever I hear the words “slow cooker” I know that the recipe is going to be super simple. It really doesn’t get easier than this, folks. All you do is toss 4 simple ingredients into your Crock-Pot and out comes an amazing meal to feed your family. You’ve got your protein and your veggies all wrapped up in a savory sauce. Yum!
You can serve this chicken and mushroom meal over rice or noodles or keep it carb-free and it as-is. I like to toss in some broccoli to the mix to up the veggie factor. When I do that this dish reminds me of something I’d find at the Chinese Buffet. I made this simple meal for a lady at my church who had just given birth to her seventh child. I had to make a triple batch but it was still very easy to put together. She and her family loved it 🙂

Quick Tip: This is a great recipe to get going in the late morning so that it is ready by suppertime.
I tried this yrs ago and we Ioved it. OnIy had Iong grain rice on hand and it was so good. ty I wiII cook this soon!
I have made this for years! We love it. If it’s to late to use the crock pot then I make it in my electric skillet. Mmmmmmm…..then serve it over mashed potatoes.
Add a packet of Dry Onion Soup Mix (layer it between cream soup and chicken; then sprinkle rest on top), makes
huge flavor difference!
That’s how I make it too. I also use white wine for the water sometimes. My original recipe (from the late 1960s also suggested sprinkling with some toasted sliced almonds too. Wine and nuts make it a company dish for sure but I don’t always have them. I never make it without the dry onion soup though.
Easy to cook and yummy.
Delicious and easy!
