These 5 Recipes Are Pasta-Rific! – Get Your Pasta Fix In this Post

With only a 20 minute prep time it’s no wonder the fans over at Pillsbury have sent in this kind of feedback:

This recipe was a big hit with some children who are very finicky about what they eat.  I cooked the spaghetti and the meat the night before to save time the next day.  I also added to the spaghetti, after it was cooked, one jar of 3 cheese alfredo sauce. I used half Italian sausage and half regular sausage, like a half and half pizza, then put the pepperoni over those.  It really was delicious and will definitely be used again!!

Ingredients

12 oz uncooked spaghetti
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package (1 lb) mild ground pork sausage
2 oz turkey pepperoni slices (about 30), cut in half
1 jar (26 oz) tomato-and-basil pasta sauce
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 package (8 oz) shredded Italian three-cheese blend

Instructions:

Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13×9-inch (3-quart) baking dish with cooking spray. Cook spaghetti with according to package directions. Drain well, place in baking dish.

In large skillet, brown sausage over medium-high heat 5 minutes until pork is no longer pink. Drain and set aside. Wipe skillet clean. Add pepperoni, cook over medium-high heat 4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly crisp.

Add sausage to the baking dish; pour pasta sauce over sausage. Arrange half of pepperoni slices evenly over pasta sauce. Sprinkle with cheeses. Arrange remaining pepperoni slices over cheese. Cover with nonstick or lightly greased aluminum foil.

Bake 30 minutes; remove foil, and bake 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and just begins to brown.
