Can we trade husbands for a day? Mine HATES bread pudding, and it’s my favorite dessert on the planet. I always feel guilty ordering it out or making it, because I know he won’t eat it! I don’t think I’d be able to sacrifice if this was on the menu though…Looks seriously to-die-for!

1 can (14 oz) apple pie filling

4 Eggland’s Best eggs

1 cup Borden heavy cream

1 cup apple cider

2 tsp vanilla

1 tsp McCormick cinnamon

1/2 cup granola or oats

Instructions

  1. Spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Line your dish with one layer of bread cubes.
  3. Take a knife and cup up the apple pie filling, while still in the can. Spoon the apple pie filling onto the bread layer. It doesn’t have to be perfect, Just spread the apples about.
  4. Top the apple with another layer of bread and pack tightly.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, cider, caramel, vanilla, and cinnamon. Whisk until well combined.
  6. Pour mixture over the bread.
  7. Cover with foil and let chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  8. When ready to prepare, take bread out of the fridge and let rest on the counter while you preheat oven.
  9. Preheat oven to 350F.
  10. Mix together melted butter, brown sugar, and granola. Spread over the top of the bread. Again, doesn’t have to be perfect.
