I made my oven-fried chicken tonight that is so delicious you honestly won’t miss the more traditional Southern fried chicken. At least we didn’t seem to miss it a bit. I ran a few numbers on this recipe and with my calculations, one serving is seven points on Weight Watchers! Now my friends, I think that pretty awesome for a fried chicken recipe as hearty as this one.

Ingredients

6 chicken breasts

¼ cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon thyme

2 teaspoons paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425 degree Fahrenheit

Mix together flour, thyme, paprika, and salt in a medium bowl.

Spray baking dish with butter flavored non-stick cooking spray.

Pour melted butter into baking dish.

Dredge chicken in flour mixture and place into baking dish.

Bake for 35 minutes, flip and cook an additional 30 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.

Quick Tip: Feel free to use chicken thighs in this recipe if you would like. When using bone-in chicken, increase the cook time accordingly.
