Learn to Cook This Spectacular Cake with a Common Household Snack

Everyone loves applesauce! The chunky variety is my absolute favorite. So I was happy to see it in this recipe and knew I had to try it. I like that the rest of the ingredients are pretty basic so I had everything I needed to bring this beauty to life. I actually made the cake for myself, for mother’s day but everyone else ate it up.

It was so moist! I had heard about adding applesauce instead of oil to cake mixes because it delivered a soft, delicious result. Now I believe it! The best part about this is that it doesn’t use a mix, so it’s completely homemade. The dusting of powdered sugar on top is the perfect sprinkle of sweetness to top it off, and it makes it look very pretty.

Quick Tip: You don’t have to add the powdered sugar, but it makes it look lovely. Especially if you use a Bundt pan.
