A Childhood Favorite Turned Fancy

If you childhood was anything like mine, you had many casseroles in your life.  What I love about casseroles is that they’re inexpensive to make and simple to put together.  Typically, a casserole would only have 5 or 6 ingredients.

My mom used to make a couple casseroles at once, and then toss them in the freezer for easy cooking later.  I must say that’s one thing I’ve “inherited” from her, as I tend to do the same thing now! I suppose that’s the brilliance of casseroles, they make life so much easier!

Dang it, casseroles are very smart.  However, sometimes you can a more elegant, elevated casserole.  That’s what this recipe is, it’s an adult version of the tuna casserole classic you probably know and love from your childhood.
