How to Bake Chewy Chocolate Chip Brownie Cookies That Will Make Everyone Happy

This is finally the recipe that combines the classic chewy brownie and the traditional chocolate chip cookie.  It’s got something for fans of either and is super simple to make.  I keep most of these ingredients on hand already.

My first batch lasted for one afternoon and the second went even faster.  My third batch got packaged up and sent to my sister with a note – under a smiley face, the word “Truce!”

Ingredients:

⅔ cup of Crisco shortening

⅓ cup Hershey’s Cocoa or Hershey’s Special Dark Cocoa

1 teaspoon McCormick Pure Vanilla Extract

½ teaspoon Morton’s salt

1 tablespoon water

1-½ cups packed Domin

1-½ cups Gold Medal all-purpose flour

2 Eggland’s Best eggs

¼ teaspoon Clabber Girl baking soda

2 cups (12 oz. package) Hershey’s Special Dark chocolate chips or Hershey’s Semi-Sweet chocolate chips
