Skip the Canned Variety for this Sweet and Spicy Version

It’s simpler than you might imagine to cook up this Mexican baked bean dish to impress your guests. There is no need to buy the store-bought canned style when you can make it yourself in your slow cooker!

Light red kidney beans, northern beans, and pork & beans bulk up this dish while the brown sugar and hot sauce combination provide a smooth sweet and spicy sauce. Feel free to doctor up this dish by adding a pound of ground beef , sausage, or bacon to re-make this side dish into a main meal!

Don’t forget this thing reheats like a charm – be sure to make more than enough and you’ll have delicious leftovers for the next day!
