French Toast Goes Bananas With This Make-Ahead Breakfast

Having dessert for breakfast isn’t so shameful with this lightened up guilty pleasure. Sweet bananas make a decadent addition to a classic French toast casserole, in a lightened-up way.

Arrange layers of bread with an egg-y milk, rum and cinnamon mixture and refrigerate for 8 hours overnight. Let the flavors soak in and the next morning bake until puffy and golden brown. Top it off with a rich and caramelized banana topping and start your day off in a sweet way!

Of course you could also serve this with coffee, if you have guests coming over. It gets even better if you add a large spoonful of vanilla ice cream on top!
